Project Plan
Project Partners
This project is international in context, with UK and US institutional partners. The lead partner is the University of Edinburgh. Investigation of the astronomy domain is being led from John Hopkins University, Baltimore. The business analysis and pilot middleware build are being undertaken by the UK Data Archive at the University of Essex.
Project Management
The overall strategic conduct of the project is the responsibility of a Project Board, whose members are senior strategists from the UK Data Archive (Chair), the National Centre for e-Social Science, the National e-Science Centre, the Archaeology Data Service, the Digital Curation Centre, UKOLN, and the Consortium of Research Libraries in the British Isles, together with the Project Director and Project Manager.
In addition, a Project Management Group represents the funded partners in the project. Chaired by the Project Director, and with the Project Manager, this group includes one representative from each of the eight discipline sites involved in the SurveyPhase and a representative from each of the UKDA, CURL and UKOLN. The role of the Project Management Group is to oversee the project, endorse any proposed major changes to the original work plan (subject to approval by the JISC), represent the interests of the project partners, advise the project team and contribute to maintaining a high level of visibility for the project among the HE, research and information communities across the UK and internationally.
